Andy Baird
Freelance Cameraman & Audio Technician
Andy has been working with professional artistes of all sorts while still a teenager at school, where he got into lighting and sound, as well as a couple of bands, as guitarist, bass player, and unbelievably, vocalist!
He trained in Stage Management and stage craft at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, worked in professional theatre for a while, before joining the Sound Section at STV Glasgow. Over the years, he became an experienced senior boom operator and Sound Supervisor mixing music and drama, turning freelance in 1994. Throughout, he remained active with amateur and semi-pro drama companies as technician, stage manager, production manager, director, writer and equally unbelievably, actor.
His extensive professional experience on broadcast shoots and film sets in the UK and abroad has given him the opportunity to extend his life-long interest in film and photography with Zisys as camera operator and D.O.P. |
