The Floorstompers are a dance band based in the West of Scotland who specialise in providing music for corporate, charity and private events.
The Floorstompers play classic and modern soul music - from sixties Motown to present day Duffy, from Stax to Winehouse. Their material is specially selected with dancing in mind. Word of mouth and a string of high profile gigs already have The Floorstompers as one of the hottest new acts on the circuit.

The band was formed and is led by Jim Prime, keyboard player in one of Scotland 's most successful and well-loved groups, Deacon Blue. No other band playing corporate, charity and private events can boast that they have someone who has sold over twelve million records in their number.

The band is fronted by Elena Fry whose breathtaking vocals have earned her the reputation of being one of the best singers in Scotland . With a voice like a superb blend of Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox, Elena has her own uniquely original style: once heard, Elena is never forgotten.
As well as Jim and Elena, the band also comprises Ayrshire musicians Alan Scott and Mick Lamont are on bass and guitar respectively with Glasgow-based Stuart Morrison on drums.
